Whatever you watch, it's hard not to be impressed by the quality of the Panasonic TX-L50E6 screen. Panasonic has used a new LED screen to give the best possible results. Using an LED screen means that that this TV isn't just slim, it also boasts a superb contrast ratio, making blacks appear deeper than ever and whites shine brightly. New to this model is 100Hz BLB (Back Light Blinking). This means that when watching action movies or sports programmes, the TXL50E6b has the speed and clarity to keep up with the action without motion blur.

SPACIOUS SOUND

In addition to offering a superb picture quality, the Panasonic TXL50E6 also offers good sound quality. Although no match for a separate home cinema system or soundbar, the built-in 20 watt amplifier provides a full-bodied sound quality. There are also both analogue (via headphones) and optical digital audio outputs; allowing you to easily improve the sound quality via a separate hi-fi or home cinema system.

SWIPE AND SHARE PLUS MY HOME SCREEN

New to this year's E6 range is Swipe and Share and My Home Screen functionality. Swipe and share lets you use a Panasonic VIERA app for smartphone media sharing. By using the app on your smartphone or tablet you can easily stream pictures, videos and music straight to the TV - no cables required! My home screen allows different users to personalise the home screen as they choose, for a bespoke user experience.

BETTER THAN EVER NETWORKING WITH BUILT-IN WI-FI

When it comes to connecting up, the TXL50E6B is one of the best Panasonics in its class yet. Featuring a Freeview HD tuner, the TX-L50E6B is ideal for making the most of High Definition TV. VIERA Connect brings together a host of features that make this much more than 'just' a TV. Stream video, photos and music from another source, such as your PC, via DLNA. Alternatively, use the Application-based browser to view shopping based functions, social media Apps and catch-up TV channels. New to this model is a web browser. The web browser also supports HTML5 pages, ensuring you can surf the web just as you would do on a PC. Use one of the two USB or the SD card inputs and enjoy music from many different file types via the dedicated media player. With such a comprehensive networking ability, it's good to see that the TXL50E6B now gives you the choice of connecting by either Ethernet or the built-in wi-fi - no extra dongle required.
