55 inch 3D LED TV 1080p HD Ready Freeview HD
With 3D and Smart functions wrapped within a Jacob Jensen design, the Toshiba 55VL963b really does look as good as it performs.
PASSIVE 3D TV WITH 2D TO 3D CONVERSION
The Toshiba 55VL963b comes with Passive 3D TV. Passive 3D TV is considered more comfortable to watch with less flicker. Other technical advantages include a wider viewing angle and brighter images. Then there's the cost and convenience consideration to take into account. The glasses are much cheaper and also considerably lighter to wear. The lack of batteries onboard also means they don't have to be recharged. Ultimately, Active 3D remains the more technically advanced but if you've been put off by its lack of comfort or cost of glasses then the new Passive 3D TV is for you. Of course, being passive doesn't in any way affect the immersive experience of 3D TV. You still get the vivid, projecting images and the reach in depth that appears to make the screen "disappear". What's more, with 2D to 3D conversion, you can get the 3D experience with any program you care to watch - whether filmed in 3D or not!
